Another glorious Saturday in the Black Country saw us off to Streetly who are top of the division.
Streetly were well drilled but other sides perhaps possess a greater number of more skilful individuals. Certainly relegation threatened Redditch last Sunday did! That said the first half closed with us 1-2 down with Chris Nightingale again converting after a Short Corner. Our midfield did well in applying good periods of pressure although we did not seem to have many real shots at goal. We again held the line at the back reasonably well and managed some nice periods of play.
The Streetly third goal was a fine individual effort which Jake could do little about.
We played well against a good side and it was not a result to be disappointed about. Chris “reliable” Tutton again had a good game and was nominated by Ed as Man of the Match.
As the skipper leaves us in the lurch with debauchery planned in Amsterdam Chris Tutton will try to fill the void. |
