We met in good time for the away fixture at Droitwich albeit on a cold but sunny afternoon. We welcomed Chris Tibble back to our ranks and he duly returned to type and passed to Martin who cracked our first goal into the top of the net.
A poor game was graced by a fine goal by Stuart “maradona” Upton after his mazy run. Old Wulfs maintained pressure and Martin converted a short corner to give Old Wulfs a 3-1 lead.
The second half saw the lead slip to 3-2 despite some fine goalkeeping by Jake. Droitwich then had a successive multitude of short corners some for offences not readily recognisable which finally gave Droitwich their 3rd goal.
Chris Tibble justifiably then made it onto the score sheet but a good display by Chris Tutton was capped a good reverse stick goal (that does not mean you shouldn’t try to use your front stick next time!)
Nobody had a bad game and there were decent individual displays but we never really kicked on as a team to play the level of hockey we are capable of.
