Match Report | The auspices were not good when we arrived in Redditch with 9 men and no keeper. After introducing the errant keeper to the wonders of a mobile telephone we managed to start with 11. The first half was a reasonably tight affair but we went into the interval with a 2-1 lead after clinical goals from Sam Green and Joe Satchwell both supplied by the skipper. The second half saw some lovely link up play in a half which we dominated. Ed Hole scored his trademark angled top of the D goal. Adam Tustin, in his first game back, was the next to convert another cross from Ed to give a 4-1 lead. Sam Green then added his second supplied by Owen Shave. Owen capped off a fine game by scoring the final goal for a well deserved 6-1 victory. There were some fine moments of hockey and if we keep a settled side and Chris Nightingale on the pitch for a whole game then we could be looking to achieve the aim of promotion. There were a number of contenders but man of the match went to Owen Shave. |
