Match Report |
Old Wulfs go into the winter break with their best performance of the season behind them. Solihull began the game by winning the toss and choosing to change ends, a move that has confused this reporter into remembering the second half as the first. The past match curry-night has further tainted the memory meaning I can sadly do little more than report the final score, and make the rest up. Wulfs definitely took an early commanding lead, some of their players certainly scored including a stroke from Birch. Yes that is not in any doubt. In no time at all it was 4-0 to the home side, and some of the goals really were quite good. Solihull got one back thanks to a well struck penalty corner. Pritchard did lots of good things. He must have because he got man of the match. The second half was largely uneventful. Perhaps. Wulfs' keeper didn't touch the ball as far as he is aware. The home side began to dominate possession even more and added a fifth goal thanks to Cartwright. If Wulfs can continue like this in the new year it will be a great second half to the season. Now pass me the paracetamol. |
