Fifths last home game of the season (just one re-arranged away game to go...) was againt Sutton Coldfield 8ths, who are at the top end of the table. Problems with availability in the higher teams meant an unfamiliar line-up and a changed formation. Old Wulfs gelled quickly and had much of the early pressure, with Sutton being taken by surprise by the skill and energy of our young players. Unfortunately we had forgotten to calibrate our centre forward before the game, and it took until his sixth clear chance before Martin hit the target to put us 1 - 0 in front. As the game went on Sutton started to assert themselves in midfield and their strength and movement put our defence under increasing pressure - and they scored three times to finish the game winners. It was yet another game where 5ths teamwork and effort was good and apart from the odd 'ball watching' lapse the team remained well disciplined even when under pressure. It was a fair result as the stonger team won.
