5ths had five players over the age of 16 this week, so did would not qualify for Badgers hockey - and faced Lichfield 7's who beat us by a big score in the first half of the season......however, with some of their young players having been promoted up thier teams since then we had a closely contested game and were pleased to emerge victorious with the score 2 - 1. Our goals game from another good quality finish from Paul Johnson and a reward for good play and persistence from Dan Taylor. Dan Jandu had another good game in goal; Ben and James Wall both tackled with strength and used the ball with confidence; Alex Sankey got through a lot of work in a hard fought midfield. And the five 'over 16's' all played their part - so another good team performance. Everyone (well, almost everyone, well some anyway) looking forward to the 4pm start at Stone next week!
