Match Report | The last league game of the 3rd teams season should have been a celebration as we'd already secured 3rd place in the division. Unfortunately we delivered probably the worst team performance of the season. We were 1 down at half time and despite having more possession never managed to get the goal back. We conceded another 2 goals in the second half and lost the game 0-3. This last game was a slightly disappointing end to what has generally been a competitive and enjoyable season. My thanks go to the players who have turned out and given their all, and those that just turned out! I’d also like to thank the Umpires who have performed the onerous task to the best of their abilities. We’re all better umpires when we’re playing than when we have the whistle! Not forgetting the efforts of Richard Cartwright, coping with late cry offs and unavailability in his usual stoic fashion. Roger Cooper |
