Match Report | Old Wulfs took on Droitwich determined to take all 3 points following a poor game the previous week. The match opened with old wulfs and droitwich missing good opportunities each. A run from Ashworth and subsequent pass saw Litchfield's first effort saved, but he was on hand to chip the rebound over the grounded keeper. Half time: Old Wulfs 1-0 Droitwich The second half saw Old Wulfs exert more control and render Colin to be virtually a spectator for large portions of the half. The second goal came from a short corner. Daz laid Puv on the side who struck his goalbound effort into the stick of a droitwich defender which saw his effort fly into the top corner. Another short corner set up the third goal. Puv was teed up again but stuck the ball towards the back post for Sam Aldersely to deflect a finish past a static keeper. The last 5 minutes of the match saw Old Wulfs score another two goals. The first came following a charging run from Shave in the middle who had options either side as he went into the D. He elected to pass to Daz who slipped a shot under the keeper. As the ball rolled towards the empty net, Callum Nightingale was on hand to help blast the ball over the last 5 centimetres it needed to travel. The second goal came from more good work from Shave, darting down the right, he set up Archie Harris in the middle of the D who proceeded to expertly "fake" an effort to allow an unmarked Litchfield at the back post to place the ball into the far corner. Full time - Old Wulfs 5-0 Droitwich Man of the match - Matthew Litchfield |
