Match Report |
The first game of the season and a good win but not quite as comfortable as the scoreline may suggest. Old Wulfs started slowly and before long went 0-1 down with Wednesbury's first attack of the game. This served as a good wake up call and before long a Jandu shot cannoned off the foot of a Wednesbury defender and a penalty stroke was awarded. Sam Aldersley stepped up and calmly slotted home into the top left corner. The pressure from Old Wulfs continued but we couldn't convert chances before half time. A good start to the new season and an excellent confidence builder as we move on to the next friendlies before the start of the league campaign.
