Match Report | Old Wulfs 4ths welcomed the visit of fellow strugglers Sutton 7ths in an early season 6 pointer. In a fairly even first half Sutton always looked a more potent unit and edged the goal count at the interval. Wulfs best effort was the keeper making a double save from O'Sullivan and Harrison. The keeper also saved well from a Mann short corner. Wulfs began the second half better and carved out chances from Harrison, O'Sullivan and a cross shot from Lally. However the deserved equaliser didn't come until late on. A Mann short corner shot looping into the air spectacularly reversed volleyed into the roof of the net by Hill. Unfortunately the home side lacked the composure to see out the game and let in two late sloppy goals. An unfortunate end to a good team performance. Words of praise for energetic performances from Hosking and Wall. Also a fine debut 4th team performance from young Jack Pearson |
