Match Report | The 4ths welcomed Shrewsbury 4ths to WGS on a sunny October late afternoon. Wulfs dominated most of the first half creating a number of chances with Lally and Harrison going close. The opening goal came from an excellent passing move. Jones fed Lally and then continued his run to receive a return pass. Into the D he put in a cross for Harrison to stroke home. The opposition got a foothold into the game at the end of the half and started to boss possession. The second half saw the roles reversed and Shrews began to dominate. However the back five of Hosking, Hill, Hamilton, Duhra (S) and our keeper Rowlands kept them at bay. Rowlands carrying off a number of fine saves. Eventually we succumbed to a scrappy equaliser. At the end either side could have snatched a winner, Wulfs best attempt falling to Hill who couldn't get a shot off from a 1-2 from his own short corner. The first point of the season in an encounter played in good spirit by both sides. |
