Match Report | This week was difficult for the club with many players unavailable and this resulted in a bare 11 travelling to Droitwich. However, if there was a script for how we'd like games to go this season, this would probably fit the bill. Old wulfs began from the off pressing high and giving Droitwich very little time on the ball. This made life very uncomfortable for the opposition and wulfs were able to intercept panicked passes on several occasions. This was a strong team performance which sees wulfs challenging at the top end of the table unbeaten. A bare 11 showed the versatility of this side, with Upton moving from his usual CM role to fill in at left back, not seeming phased at all and having a solid game. A mention must also go to Ed Hole, who must feel unlucky to not be on the score sheet, with two impressive saves from the opposition keeper. There perhaps should have been more goals for wulfs but a 4-0 victory away from home will always feel good on a Saturday evening. Now we just need to keep up the momentum of the past two weeks. |
