Match Report

Old Wulfs arrived at Bromsgrove with memories of a bitter last minute defeat in the same fixture last season. Bromsgrove had started this season very strongly and we were expecting a tough fixture again. Despite this, Old Wulfs started very well and threatened the Bromsgrove goal.  Unfortunately, the momentum created disappeared when captain's past and present were given time on the naughty chair by the Bromsgrove umpires after taking issue with several interesting decisions. Bromsgrove grew into the game quickly and it took another man of the match performance from Craig to keep them at bay.

After half time wulfs were slow off the mark and far too many passes failed to find their intended targets. Bromsgrove capitalised on this and went 1-0 up after a sustained period of dangerous possession. As has often been the way already this season, a goal seemed to bring wulfs to life and after several short corner routines were tried, route 1 succeeded and Stew Upton found the corner of the goal.

The final stages of the game became very open with both teams searching for a winner. This was probably a good spectacle for anyone watching on the sideline but rather stressful for all those involved. The game finished without anyone else troubling the scoresheet and this was probably a fair result overall. Bromsgrove were a side that will definitely be there or there abouts at the end of the season so a draw shouldn't be a cause for concern, however Wulfs are certainly capable of stepping up a gear and a home game next week should provide the perfect platform.
