Match Report | After last week's heroics Old Wulfs travelled to table topping Bridgnorth. Again with a team showing a number of changes we knew we would be in for a tough game. For 15 minutes we quelled the attacking onslaught, The experienced opposition spraying the ball around the pitch with ease. Wulfs struggled for any meaningful possession, but did force pair of short corners. The deadlock was broken by a fine Bridgnorth passing move. They proceeded to score twice again before half time. At half time we regrouped and the second half brought more attacking intent from the Wulfs unfortunately it brought more punishment from the the opposition. Five goals added to the total. The only reply was a reverse flick from Lally from an acute angle which beat the keeper into the roof of the net. O'Sullivan created some half chances but the tally stayed at 1. The only other point of note was a green card for Hill for expressing disappointment with an umpire decision. Beaten but not disgraced by a side that are going to to be worthy league champions this season. |
