Tough first game of the season against a talented Telford side.
The Telford youngsters were very comfortable on the ball and gave the home side the majority of the play.
It was Old Wulf's however who had the best chance of the first half with O'Sullivan thwarted by the keeper.
Second half brought a period of domination for Old Wulf's. After a couple of near misses Lally opened the scoring. Two more goals followed from O'Sullivan.
Telford countered and scored to narrow the gap. This led to a nervous last 8 minutes. Old Wulfs held on even with the loss of Cox for a green card.
Good performance against a side that will surely improve during the season.
Special mention for the unamed Old Wulfs midfielder who had to leave the pitch early on to chunder. A quieter Friday night next time please. |
