Match Report | Three defeats out of three and are we downhearted? Well, a bit. But, we did get our first goal of the season. What's more, Will scored it!! Also on the positive side, I was awesome! All in all, another missed opportunity, with a terrific first half effort as Sikh Union dominated possession but were unable to create too many chances, and when they did came up against a goalkeeping brick wall. The Coventry side hit the bar from a penalty corner, but the half ended 0-0. Rich Roberts made a solid return to the 1sts, and Birch came back from injury with a fine performance. The visitors took the lead after 50 minutes with a hotly disputed penalty stroke, and disappointingly went 2-0 up immediately as Wulfs lost concentration. Wilson received a mysterious green card, but after going 3-0 came the moment of glory as Ashworth converted a penalty corner. Let's hope it's the first of many. Away to Ludlow next week and the first victory of the season is inevitable. |
