With side-ways rain/sleet and opponents who were at least a foot on average taller than our team this was always going to be a tough match. Through a tough first half the badgers struggled to contain the relentless attacking hockey and spent lots of time scurrying around the D, a combination of pressure and with some great passing counter attacks, Streetly were 4-0 up at half time. The second half was much more promising with help from the now characteristic stoic badger atttude to carry on trying - it was a real pleasure to play alongside the youngsters who never gave up. Lots of chances were created, but not at the quality which allowed the attacking line of Callum, Ben and Bhav to convert. Finally the break came through Callum, and the second half was shared 1-1. Second half of hockey was fantastic. Dan was named man on the match by his team for absorbing so much pressure, but with deserved nominations for Jack, Ben, Callum and Harry.
