Match Report |
The badgers' first away trip of the season took them to Willenhall to play Wednesbury. Once again a young, but keen side started well and looked confident in possession. The combination of Jack, Thomas and Bhav in midfield supported by the fortress-like defence of Jamie, Andy and Ben gave a good structure when Wednesbury countered; however, on the break Wednesbury were able to sneak behind the defence and drive a shot in for the first goal, 1-0. The badgers continued to defend well and there were some great saves from Dan. Callum, Luke and in rotation James, Billy and Harry managed to create chances and a number of shorts. George was finally able to break through the defence and score to equalise before half time. The second half could have seen a few more goals, with a well matched contest. The badgers came close a few times, but were unable to drive home a final goal. Great performance, Dan was voted man of the match by his team due to his great saves.
