In the first formal game of the Badgers' season, this was always going to be a tough test with a fresh and very young side coming through to replace the more experienced juniors who have moved on to senior teams. The new core of the team in Tom, Callum, Jack and Bav rose to the challenge and took control of the centre of the field, dominating possession for most of the game. Despite best efforts and the creation of lots of opportunities in the D through Anya, Callum and George, and some fantastic goal mouth ping pong, the Badgers were unable to capitalise. Even with sterling tackling efforts in defence from Ben, Harry and Billy, and with Dan in goal, Streetly took their chances mainly on the break to tally up 4 goals. More to do in finishing and defence, but overall an excellent performance from start to finish.
